Filled with vigour and vivacity , Lucknow Public School Sector -D celebrated the auspicious occasion of ‘Basant Panchami’ on Wednesday 14 February 2024 which marks the onset of the ‘Spring Season’.
The festival of ‘Saraswati Pooja’ owes its origin to the birth of goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom, to pay reverence and humble obeisance.A special assembly was conducted by the students of Primary and Junior wings where the atmosphere was experienced with devotion and prayers. The stage was adorned with yellow petals and flowers that added much allure to the celebrations. The day commenced with Saraswati Vandana by the students of Primary wing followed by a dance performance while garlanding of the idol of ‘Maa Saraswati’ by our Principal and Vice -Principal for seeking knowledge and a prosperous life.
As yellow colour symbolizes commitment, knowledge and creativity, the celebration reflected the vibrancy of life by wearing yellow coloured clothes, emulating the bright yellow mustard flowers in the fields.
Lucknow Public School sector D hosted a farewell party for the students of Class XII batch 2023-24 on February 1, 2024. The students of class XI organised the event, to bid a lively and joyful farewell to their seniors.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome song followed by a group dance. A joyful and humorous standing comedy by the juniors made the seniors roll with laughter. The Principal generously imparted his wisdom to the pupils and guided them towards the right path. Many games and competitions organised for the seniors filled the air with excitement and enthusiasm as they performed to win. Various accolades and awards were given out to the students by the Principal, Vice Principal and Headmistress.
The ceremony concluded with a message by the Class XI students, who articulated their sorrow at seeing their seniors leave, and hoped that their paths would cross again in the near future. All students and staff relished the farewell buffet as the day came to an emotional close.
Lucknow Public School, Sector D celebrated the Republic Day with great fervor and zeal. The program commenced with the unfurling of our 'National Flag', a symbol of our sovereignty and freedom. The school resonated as students and teachers sang the 'National Anthem' creating a strong sense of pride and togetherness.Following this, the melodious notes of the 'Vidyalaya Geet' echoed through the air, further reinforcing the spirit of cultural harmony and camaraderie among students. The March Past that ensued was a spectacle of perfect synchronization, discipline and leadership. Thereafter, Principal Sir addressed the students. His words emphasized on the importance of Republic Day, urging students to put their best foot forward in all their endeavors. The celebration came to an end with a mesmerizing dance performance. Set to a patriotic theme, the dance embodied the essence of unity in diversity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. Republic Day celebration was a powerful showcase of our sense of patriotism, discipline and cultural pride.

It sounds like the Christmas celebration at Lucknow Public School was filled with so much joy and creativity. Our tiny tots enjoyed a coloring activity featuring a Christmas tree, bell, Santa Claus, and wreath, and must have had a delightful class party. Our little Santas performed an enchanting dance. The students in primary classes also had a wonderful time creating various Christmas crafts. Specifically, students in Class-l and IV designed single and double layer Christmas wreaths respectively, while students in Class-ll created decorative cards. Class -III students made Christmas trees, and Class-V designed Snow Men faces. The festive Christmas day was celebrated with laughter and smiles like confetti in the air.
Lucknow Public School, Sector D, hosted its Annual Function on December 10, 2023 at Shri C. P. Singh Memorial Auditorium, captivating the audience with a diverse array of performances that reflected the school's commitment to nurturing talents and promoting holistic development.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Mr. Siddharth Modiyani, the Assistant Labour Commissioner and the proud Alumnus of the school (Batch 2012) followed by Mr. Lokesh Singh, the Manager and Mrs. Rashmi Pathak, the Director. The performances began with 'Vandana' dance invoking divine blessings symbolizing the auspicious beginning of the function. The 'Doll Dance' and the endearing performance by our tiny tots as 'Mickey and Minnie' emerged as the undeniable highlights of the event. Clad in colorful and vibrant costumes, these young performers stole the show and left the audience enchanted by their flamboyance. Through the captivating melody of the 'Shiksha Song', the students highlighted the importance of mandatory education. The 'Group Song' entertained the audience with the mellifluous rendition of the song, 'Jo zamane mei himmat na haare'. In 'Yoga', the students demonstrated extraordinary asanas and formations. 'Thank You Parents' dance was a heartfelt tribute by the children expressing their deep gratitude for the unconditional love and support of their parents. The performance resonated profoundly with the audience. 'Nukkad Natak' took center stage to deliver a crucial message on the adverse effects of excessive use of mobile phones on the youth and the subsequent behavioural issues. The grand finale performance, 'Colours of India', celebrated the rich tapestry of our cultural diversity, leaving the audience completely enthralled. The success of the Annual Function echoed the school's commitment to excellence in education and the comprehensive development of its students.

This auspicious day celebrates the birth of the first Sikh Guru and is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism. As the festival was celebrated in all its sanctity, the students of Classes 6 to 8 presented a small skit where all of us were made to understand Guru Nanak Dev Ji's baani in order to instill good values in them.The children were urged to follow the path of universal brotherhood and peace to promote national integration and communal harmony. The festival was celebrated by all the students with great pride, honor and respect.
Lucknow Public School, Sector D, organized an essay writing and poster-making competition on the theme 'Fit India Movement,' an initiative by the Government of India to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. The essay writing competition witnessed a remarkable display of articulate minds as students of classes VI to XI penned their thoughts on the role and significance of the Fit India Movement. From highlighting the importance of physical fitness to exploring its positive impact on mental well-being, the essays showcased a deep understanding of the holistic benefits of leading an active life. The poster-making competition, on the other hand, saw vibrant hues and creative expressions come together to convey the essence of the Fit India Movement and conveyed a powerful message about the role of physical exercises, games and sports in maintaining a balanced and joyful life. Each poster not only showcased artistic talent but also served as a call to action for embracing a healthier lifestyle. These competitions not only provided a platform for students to showcase their writing and artistic skills but also ignited a spark for a collective commitment to the Fit India Movement.
26 November is celebrated every year as the 'Constitution Day' or more commonly known as Samvidhaan Diwas. On 26 November 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted and was enforced on 26 January 1950 .The celebration of the constitution day aims to spread awareness on the importance of the Indian Constitution and acknowledges the contribution of its architect, Dr.B. R. Ambedkar, in particular. As a part of celebrations, LPS Sector D, organised a special assembly to highlight and reiterate the values and principles enshrined in our constitution. An important part of the celebration was the reading of the Preamble and reaffirming our commitment to uphold it .The students beautifully expressed the principle values incorporated in the Indian Constitution that play an active role in strengthening the Indian democracy.
There are some things we can't buy. One such thing is childhood. The Principal, Vice Principal, and staff of Lucknow Public School Sector-D pre-celebrated Children 's Day on Saturday November 11, 2023. The Vice Principal started the event extending his warm wishes to the children. The fun of the day began with the game of Tambola followed by Musical chair . Children 's excitement was touching the heights as this musical chair was followed by Tug -O- War. The event was concluded melodiously as the teachers presented a group song for the children after Tug -O-War. The winners of the games were awarded duly with prizes and the children went home happily after a healthy refreshment.
The students of Pre-Primary wing in their vibrant dresses enjoyed themselves while they prepared paper diyas & colourful paper rangolis. The Primary wing enthusiastically participated in the craft work with diyas & candle decoration, lanterns & rangolis on paper to enhance their fine motor skills. Mandala Art Rangolis were designed by the students of Class VI to intensify the understanding of patterns to create beautiful rangolis. The students of Class VII made Candle Holders to polish their creative skills and improve their focus and concentration. Bandhanwars were prepared by the students of Class VIII with the purpose of honing their creative observation, ordering and arranging skills. An Inter House Rangoli Competition was organised for the students of IX to XII, giving the message, ‘Conservation of environment' avoiding air and noise pollution. The School emerged in serenity to relish the victory of good over evil.
'Let us move from and truth to truth and from darkness to light.'
The festival of light came alive at Lucknow Public School, Sector- D, when the whole school wore a festive look and young Achievers led the way in spreading the message of celebrating safe and Pollution -free Eco friendly Diwali. The students of classes 9 to 12 geared up for their Special Assembly -preparing theatrical and musical performances as a way to understand, honour and enjoy the importance of Diwali. A skit was performed as an effort to spread awareness about the harmful effects of fireworks and to remind the students to have a safe and environment friendly Diwali. Wonderful presentation of the assembly by the students instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The assembly concluded with the message by the Principal who offered his warm wishes to the children and reiterated that children should celebrate pollution free Diwali in its purest form by lightening the lamps and sharing with less fortunate.
In line with Govt. of India's vision for a new India, the Central Vigilance Commission undertakes various initiatives to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public administration. This year, the Central Vigilance Commission has chosen to observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 30th Oct, 2023 to 5th November 2023 under the theme “Say no to corruption, commit to the nation."
To observe this day, various activities were performed by Junior wing students on the theme “Say no to corruption, commit to the nation.”
The activities are as follows-
(1) Class VI - Slogan Writing
(2) Class VII - Essay Writing
(3) Class VIII – Poster making
Students showcased their talent and participated with zeal & enthusiasm.
The purpose of conducting these activities is to raise awareness among the students regarding the adverse effects to corruption.

This beautiful quote represents the strength of unity. Dr. Vallabhbhadi Patel, the first deputy Prime Minister of India, played a very major role to unite India. On his birth anniversary i.e. 31st October we celebrate Unity Day. On this day, the school resonated with the spirit of togetherness as the teacher delivered an inspiring speech urging students to embrace unity. In a solemn moment, students collectively took an oath to foster harmony and solidarity. The day's highlight was the "Run for unity" activity, where students, carrying a message of oneness, jogged from the school to nearby park. Respected Principal symbolising the start of this unity initiative, proudly, unfurled a green flag. In the park, students passionately delivered speeches emphasizing the significance of unity in diversity.
Our children come in contact with many people. It becomes our responsibility to sensitize and equip them so that they are ready to face or tackle any situation or person coming their way. With this aim, a workshop on 'Good Touch and Bad Touch' was organised for the primary students in the school. The headmistress, Mrs. Kawaljeet Kaur explained to the children about safe and unsafe touch. A vivid presentation was given to educate the students about the various kinds of touch they may experience from people around them and how to differentiate between them. The children were told that a good touch is consensual and respectful and contributes to their overall well-being. They were given examples of bad touch as acts referring to physical contact that makes a child feel uncomfortable, violated or unsafe. They were told that a bad touch is the touch they would want to stop right away. The children were told that it's okay to say 'No' if they don't like any touch, even from a friend or a family member. The children were suggested to leave such a company immediately and let someone like their parents/siblings/guardians/friends/teachers know about what happened.
The session was organised to help and guide our children, handle the not-so-positive events in their day-to-day lives in a better and healthier way.
Teaching children about safe and unsafe touch at an early age is essential for their safety and well-being. By learning about appropriate touch and how to identify and report inappropriate touch, children are empowered to protect themselves and assert their boundaries.
October 2nd is not just a date on the calendar; it is a day to remember and celebrate the birth, the life and the legacy of the two great visionaries of India, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, who were beacons of hope and unflinching determination and epitome of dedication and resilience. They exemplified the principles of truth, non-violence, service and selflessness.2nd October, every year is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Gandhi ji and Shastri ji, who will continue to impact and inspire millions. To revere this day, the students of junior wing organised a 'Special Assembly' to commemorate the life of Mahatma Gandhi and Shastriji and their valuable teachings. The choir sang Gandhi’s favourite, "De Di Hume Azadi Bina Khadag Bina Dhaal" with full exuberance and spirit.The bhajan "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram" was presented by the teachers' choir in the most eloquent manner. The primary students presented a serene dance performance on the song "Bapu ki baton ka hai keval itna saar".Respected Principal remembered the teachings
and principles of these iconic leaders and urged the students to imbibe their values and thoughts and implement them in their own lives with a hope that their philosophies, thoughts and ideas will always remain embedded in the ethos and culture of our nation.
World Tourism Day is celebrated globally on September 27th each year to promote awareness about the importance of tourism and its cultural, social and economic value. Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch celebrated this day with great enthusiasm and was quite a vibrant and educational experience for the children who showcased the rich cultural heritage of our country. The program unfolded with our tiny tots and kindergartners. Their involvement was marked by fun and fancy shows. These little ones, dressed in adorable costumes represented famous tourist destinations from around the country and charmed everyone with their creativity.
Through PPT the students of class 1 identified the Heritage sites, famous monuments, handicrafts, cuisine. The students of class 2 participated in Show and Tell where they prepared nice flash cards and spoke a few lines on it.The highlight of this year's celebration was the active participation of students from classes 3 to 5. Each class represented a different state of India, highlighting its unique culture, traditions and tourist attractions.
There were various activities organised by the junior wings such as Brochure Making, Collage Making, Poster Making. The day in our school displayed the vibrant spirit of our students and the sheer vision of the school to impart holistic knowledge.
On the occasion of CSIR’s 82nd Foundation Day, CSIR- Central Research Institute organized a science outreach event on 26th September, 2013 at CSIR-CDRI. The senior wing students visited the CSIR-CDRI campus and interacted with researchers & scientists. The experts of the institute informed the students about the different activities and achievement of the institute. CDRI kept its laboratories open for the students to visit and interact with scientists. The students were also exposed to some important and state of the art facilities for scientific research. Various events were organized like - Quiz Competition, Debate Competition and Science Model Competition where the students showcased their talent.

Lucknow Public School Sector-D organized a PAPER BAG DISTRIBUTION drive to strive for a healthier and a greener planet. The students took an initiative to to spread the awareness regarding the degrading environment.The students tried to make a difference in their own small ways by distributing paper bags to the localities and nearby areas of the school. They gave handmade paper bags which were not only beautiful but also cost effective .They also explained that bags are biodegradable and are the best alternative to plastic .The vendors were encouraged and convinced to replace the plastic bags with the eco-friendly alternative so as to play our part in saving our Mother Earth from the clutches of the pollution.

On the occasion of "Swachhata Saptah the students of Junior wing paid a visit to an old age home named "Cheshire Home" situated at South City, Lucknow to meet and spent time with elderly.The residents were excited to have the students and looked cheerful. They welcomed the students with sweets. The students spent their time interacting with them and listening to their stories. They shared their experiences, both happy and sad and also participated in various activities. Some of them even played games while other socialises with the students.
The students distributed hygiene kits to the elderly as a token of love and affection. The visit to old age home was an enriching experience for the students. It made the students realise the importance of valuing our elderly and the impact that a small gesture of kindness can have in their lives.
Teachers, students join hands for 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'

Lucknow Public School organized a special Prabhat pheri for Swacch Bharat on 12th September. The rally was lead by NCC cadets and the students of primary wing. During the rally, the students were raising slogans of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. All could be heard was their slogan of " जन-जन ने अब जान लिया है, स्वच्छता को कर्तव्य मान लिया है" The rally started from L.P.S. Sector D school and further moved to the nearby locality. The students also had one to one conversation with people not to use or encourage the use of single-use plastic items and sought the cooperation of the public in keeping the city clean.

आज १४ सितंबर, २०२३ को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर 'हिंदी दिवस' बड़ी धूमधाम के साथ मनाया गया। लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल के वर्तमान सत्र २०२३-२४ में विद्यालय परिसर में 'हिंदी सप्ताह' के अंतर्गत छात्र एवं छात्राओं के बौद्धिक एवं मानसिक विकास के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया था, जिसमें कक्षा १ से १० तक छात्रों एवं छात्राओं ने बढ़- चढ़कर अपनी कल्पनाशीलता एवं प्रतिभा का परिचय दिया था। इसी क्रम में आज की प्रार्थना-सभा में आधुनिक हिंदी साहित्य के जनक 'भारतेंदु हरिश्चंद्र' जी का जीवन परिचय एवं उनकी रचनाओं से परिचय कराया गया। तत्पश्चात् होनहार एवं प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों एवं छात्राओं ने पारंपरिक परिधान में वीर रस एवं हास्य रस पर आधारित कविता वाचन प्रस्तुत किया, जिसमें उन्होंने प्रथम, द्वितीय एवं तृतीय स्थान को प्राप्त किया। विजेता छात्रों एवं छात्राओं को सम्मानित करने हेतु आदरणीय प्रधानाचार्य जी, उप प्रधानाचार्य व प्रधानाध्यापिका के द्वारा पुरस्कार वितरण किया गया तथा सभा के अंत में राष्ट्र-गान गाया गया। समस्त शिक्षक-गण एवं छात्रों का उत्साह व उमंग सराहनीय था । पूरे समारोह के दौरान अनुशासन का पालन किया गया।
आज, १३ सितंबर २०२३ को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल की सेक्टर डी शाखा में अंतर-कक्षा प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया एवं मुहावरों पर आधारित कहानी की प्रस्तुति की गई। कक्षा १ से ५ के छात्र एवं छात्राओं के द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा में प्रार्थना गीत, छात्र प्रतिज्ञा, आज का शब्द, सुविचार, समाचार एवं राष्ट्रगान के साथ छात्रों के व्यक्तिगत कौशलों, रुचियों और मनोवृतियों के विकास के लिए मुहावरे पर आधारित कहानी प्रस्तुत की गई। छात्रों ने अपने अभिनय से दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।आंतरिक कक्षाओं में कक्षा ६ से ८ के छात्रों ने कविता लेखन में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। कक्षा ९ व १० के छात्रों ने विज्ञापन लेखन किया । विज्ञापन लेखन का विषय था- मातृभाषा हिंदी ।
इस आयोजन के द्वारा हिंदी भाषा के महत्व और उसकी बढ़ती लोकप्रियता को बढ़ावा दिया गया। यह एक सराहनीय प्रयास था।

आंतरिक कक्षाओं में कक्षा १ से २ के छात्रों ने हस्तलेख तथा कक्षा ३ से ५ तक के छात्रों ने पी.पी.टी द्वारा सदन स्तरीय प्रश्नोत्तरी और ६ से ८ तक छात्रों ने सुलेख प्रतियोगिता में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। प्रतियोगिता के निर्णायकों ने छात्रों के प्रदर्शन की सराहना की और उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया।
कक्षा ९-१२ के छात्र और छात्राओं के द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा के साथ छात्रों के व्यक्तिगत कौशलों, रुचियों और मनोवृतियों के विकास के लिए एक नुक्कड़ नाटक का मंचन किया गया। नाटक में छात्रों ने अपने अभिनय से दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।

लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल सेक्टर 'डी' शाखा के वर्तमान सत्र २०२३-२४ में विद्यालय प्रांगण में हिंदी सप्ताह के अंतर्गत छात्र एवं छात्राओं के बौद्धिक एवं मानसिक विकास हेतु विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं एवं कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें दिनांक ९ सितंबर २०२३ को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल के सेक्टर 'डी' शाखा में अंतर्शाखीय प्रतियोगिता के अंतर्गत कक्षा १ से १० तक के छात्रों ने विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिभाग किया। जिसमें सूक्ति लेखन, वर्ग पहेली, जिंगल लेखन, चित्रात्मक संवाद, वर्तनी की परीक्षा एवं सुलेख लेखन आदि प्रतियोगिताओं के द्वारा विद्यार्थियों की प्रतिभाओं को उभारने का प्रयास किया गया। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में छात्रों ने कलात्मक एवं रचनात्मक लेखन कौशल का प्रदर्शन किया। कक्षा ९ एवं १० के छात्रों द्वारा कवि सूर्यकांत त्रिपाठी 'निराला' का जीवन एवं साहित्यिक परिचय प्रस्तुत किया गया। तदुपरांत कवियों की वेशभूषा में 'काव्य - तरंग' कवि सम्मेलन प्रस्तुत किया गया। जिसमें छात्रों ने आधुनिक काल के कवियों की कविताओं का काव्य पाठ प्रस्तुत किया। इन प्रतियोगिताओं एवं कार्यक्रमों में छात्रों का उत्साह एवं जोश सराहनीय था। पूरे कार्यक्रम के दौरान अनुशासन का पालन किया गया।
हिंदी सप्ताह मनाए जाने के क्रम में आज दिनांक ८ सितंबर, २०२३ को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल की शाखा सेक्टर डी के प्रांगण में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं एवं प्रस्तुतियों का आयोजन हुआ। कक्षा १ तथा २ के विद्यार्थियों ने विशेष प्रार्थना सभा में प्रार्थना के उपरांत आज का शब्द व सुविचार प्रस्तुत किया । इसके पश्चात 'आज के समाचार' के माध्यम से हिंदी सप्ताह के उपलक्ष्य में विद्यालय में होने वाली गतिविधियों से अवगत कराया। कार्यक्रम को आगे बढ़ाते हुए छात्रों ने प्रेरक गीत एवं व्याकरण गीत पर नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया । इसके माध्यम से छात्रों के आत्मविश्वास का विकास हुआ I इसी कड़ी में कक्षा ६ से ८ के छात्रों ने आशुभाषण प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया। छात्रों ने सदन स्तर पर आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता में निर्धारित समय में दिए गए विषय पर बोलकर हिंदी भाषा में अपने वाचन कौशल का प्रदर्शन किया। इसके साथ ही विभिन्न विषयों पर अपनी पकड़ की भी एक झलक दिखाई।
कक्षा ९ और १० के छात्रों ने कविता लेखन प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया तथा अपने भावों को अपनी लेखनी के माध्यम से उकेरकर अपने लेखन कौशल का परिचय दिया।
लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल के वर्तमान सत्र 2023 - 24 में विद्यालय परिसर में हिंदी सप्ताह के अंतर्गत छात्र एवं छात्राओं के बौद्धिक एवं मानसिक विकास के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में दिनाँक 06 सितंबर, 2023 को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल, सेक्टर - डी में कक्षा 3, 4 व 5 के होनहार व प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों ने हिंदी सप्ताह के शुभ अवसर पर कुछ कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए l जिसमे हिंदी द्वारा आत्मपरिचय कविता के माध्यम से दिया गया तथा कुछ छात्रों ने कवियों की वेशभूषा में कविताएं व दोहे प्रस्तुत किए l कुछ छात्रों ने नृत्य प्रस्तुति दी l
इस समारोह में माननीय प्रधानाचार्य जी, प्रधानाध्यापिका व कक्षा 1 से 5 तक छात्र व छात्राएं व सभी शिक्षिकाएं उपस्थित रहे l
कक्षा 6, 7 एवं 8 के छात्रों हेतु कक्षा स्तर पर कहानी लेखन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया । इस प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से छात्रों ने अपनी कल्पनाशीलता एवं लेखन क्षमता का प्रदर्शन किया।
कक्षा 9 एवं 10 के छात्रों हेतु स्लोगन राइटिंग (घोष लेखन) प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया था। इस प्रतियोगिता का विषय 'हिंदी भाषा' था। इसके अंतर्गत छात्रों ने अपने कलात्मक लेखन कौशल का परिचय दिया। इन कार्यक्रमों में छात्रों का उत्साह व उमंग सराहनीय था l पूरे समारोह के दौरान अनुशासन का पालन किया गया।
On September 9, 2023, the enthusiastic N.C.C. cadets of Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch showcased their intellectual prowess and creative talents as they participated in an essay writing and poster making competition. The theme of the event was the recently concluded 'G 20 Summit' under the able guidance of ANO Ma'am, Lt. Shweta Mishra.
The essay writing competition delved into various aspects of the G 20 summit and discussed its impact on the global economy and offered insightful perspectives on the resolutions and commitments made during the event. Their essays demonstrated not only their writing skills but also their awareness of international affairs.No less was the poster making competition where the cadets translated their ideas into visually appealing artwork. Through vibrant colors, striking imagery and clear messages, they creatively captured the essence of the summit.The N.C.C. cadets, through such event, aptly showcased their intellectual and artistic abilities.
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, the students of Lucknow Public School, Sec -D branch celebrated Janmashtami with mirth and joy. The students came dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha, playmates and friends of Krishna's childhood.
They were accessorized with colorful bangles, odhnis and peacock crowns to set the Janmashtami mood. Special assembly was conducted wherein the students swayed to the tunes of traditional songs.
The students also participated enthusiastically in craft work and made crowns and decorated Handis. The teachers instilled the value of self-worth and introspection in the students. The day was a delightful journey for the students to celebrate the boundless love, wisdom and playfulness that Lord Krishna embodies.

In the heart of our school's Primary Wing, a wave of creativity and gratitude recently swept through as students were engaged in a heartwarming Rakhi Making Activity. The Classes involved were III to V Girls and Thank You Cards crafted by the boys of Classes III to V . This event not only brought joy and learning but also exemplified the values of love, care, and appreciation.
The much-awaited Rakhi exchange ceremony was held by the tiny tots of Classes Nursery to II . The students adorned their new Rakhis,' and eagerly waited for their turn to tie them onto their companions wrists. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, excitement, and a sense of togetherness. This ritual of tying the Rakhi symbolizes the promise of protection and care that siblings offer to each other.
National Sports Day is an annual celebration that holds immense significance in schools. The day marks the birth anniversary of the hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand and serves as a sincere homage to his remarkable contributions but also provides a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the budding talent in the field of games and sports.
Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch celebrated the National Sports Day with much zeal and fervour. The event began with a heartfelt garlanding ceremony on the portrait of Major Dhyan Chand, who will remain an inspiration to all of us.
The students were told about the importance of games and sports and the relevance of 'National Sports Day' followed by the felicitation of students who participated in the Inter- branch Badminton and Table Tennis tournaments and brought laurels to the school. The children performed exceptionally well and learnt about true sportsmanship and the value of playing games.
Thereafter, Principal Sir motivated all the students and encouraged them to actively participate and enhance their skills in various games and sports and imbibe the necessary values of teamwork, discipline, resilience and leadership.
The celebration of National Sports Day culminated with the singing of the National Anthem in unison.

Amidst vibrant burst of color and creativity, the Nursery and Kindergarten kids at Lucknow Public School, Sector-D branch embarked on an educational and entertaining adventure, the 'Alphabet Soup' activity. The event was designed to introduce and reinforce the foundation of letters and phonics, which proved to be quite a captivating and interactive learning experience for our budding scholars. Nursery children embarked on a colorful journey of self-discovery as they dived into the world of letters. Through an engaging coloring activity, these tiny tots learned the first letter of their names while simultaneously, discovering objects around them that started with the same letter. To further enhance the learning experience, the air was filled with delightful alphabet songs. For our Kindergarteners, the activity became a little challenging. Armed with the zest for discovery, these young scholars set on a mission to find the missing letters of their names from a bubbling alphabet soup bowl. Through this treasure hunt of letters, the kids not only grasped the composition of their names but, it also enhanced their fine motor skills as they picked out each letter with precision. The students then, pieced together their names using sticker alphabets. The Alphabet Soup Activity proved to be an extraordinary blend of education and entertainment, igniting curiosity and enthusiasm in our young learners.
It was just a word for the English man but to Indians it means a lot. It marked the victory of our hardships, sacrifices and Unity. Yes, the word' Independence'. The 15th of August 1947 ushered in a free India which every Indian had longed for more than two centuries .
With this in mind, we, at LPS sector D celebrated 77th Independence Day with apt gaiety and an overwhelming spirit of Patriotism on the school campus this year. The Principal's address highlighted the importance of the day and called upon the students to gear themselves up to be the nation builders of tomorrow. Charged with the spirit of nationalism with the 'Swadeshi' mood revived, the students paid tributes to the freedom fighters and as homage to great departed souls, they pledged to keep up their spirit of unity and brotherhood and hold their values of intense love and sense of duty towards the land which nourishes and nurtures us. The programme commenced with mellifluous rendition of the National song. It depicted the colourful Heritage and the rich Indian culture. The song praised motherland as a land of peace and prosperity where love pervades all .The program proceeded with the group songs and vibrant dance performances by the students right from tiny tots till Class X. The lively and colourful dance performances on the songs, 'Jahan Daal Daal Par', 'Assi Fauji Putt' and 'Tara Rum Pum' filled the air with energy and unparalled enthusiasm. A short skit titled 'Meri Jhansi Nahi Dungi' beautifully showcased the sequence of events in the life of Rani Lakshmibai.The day set every one's feet taping to the rhythm of various songs and the hearts singing praises of the rich motherland unto which we are all born. Thanking the heavens for having given us all an opportunity to breath the pure air of peace ,drink the crystal waters of brotherhood, tread on the sanity soil of love and abundance, the students and the staff of LPS called it a day.
The Augmentation Day served as a reminder that education is not limited to textbooks and classrooms. It's actually, an amalgamation of experience, creativity and discovery. It provided a platform for our students to explore diverse avenues of learning, nurturing their holistic development and fostering a love for knowledge. For the students of classes III, IV, and V, the day began with a captivating 'Picture Puzzle' themed around Independence Day, which not only engaged their critical thinking skills but also instilled a sense of patriotism and responsibility. The corridors were transformed into bustling art studios as students delved into different art and craft activities, tapping into their imagination and artistic flair. The highlight of the day was the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities that allowed students to unravel the mysteries of these disciplines through hands-on experiments and challenges. Students of classes I and II participated in an inter-class group 'Elocution' competition where they paid tribute to the country and its glorious past. Their impeccable and synchronized performance showcased their teamwork and their understanding of our rich cultural heritage. Even the youngest minds of Nursery and Kindergarten were not left out of the festivities. They were engaged in a captivating 'Finger Impression' coloring activity that allowed them to express themselves creatively while developing their fine motor skills. The day was indeed, a fun and learning experience for all the children.

Dawned the 11th of August,2023 and it was time for new set of prefects to be invested with their posts officially .
The ceremony began with an air of dignity and pride as the newly elected student council members were adorned with their badges and sachets, symbolizing their commitment to upholding the school's values. The Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, and Vice Head Girl stood tall, ready to lead by example.
In a display of unity and dedication, the Captains and Vice Captains of Dhruv, Bharat, Eklavya, and Karn Houses were chosen to steer their respective houses toward excellence.
The Prefects, a vital link between students and teachers, were also appointed, ready to assist in maintaining discipline and order within the school premises. The ceremony reached its pinnacle as the students collectively took an oath to fulfill their responsibilities with unwavering sincerity. The principal, in an inspirational speech, shared words of wisdom that will undoubtedly guide and motivate the newly elected members throughout their tenure.
The newly appointed boys and girls, adorned in their newly acquired vibrant sashes, looked confident and resolute as they were cheered by their schoolmates, wishing them success in all their endeavours.
Investiture ceremony is not just about bestowing titles and responsibilities, it is the celebration of an individual's potential and capability and the commitment to a journey of growth and excellence. It is an occasion where deserving young minds are honoured and entrusted with the authority to lead and dispense their duties with utmost sincerity. With its grandeur and solemnity, the Investiture Ceremony was held at Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch on August 11, 2023 to recognise and celebrate the budding talent and to instil a sense of pride and accountability among the recipients. The stage was beautifully adorned highlighting the values of the school. The ceremony started with the marching of the 'Student Council' led by the Head boy and Head girl followed by the Vice Head boy, Vice Head girl, Student Coordinators, Activity Coordinators, Discipline Incharges and lastly, the House Incharges of all the four houses. They all were invited on stage one by one and were conferred with their respective badges and sashes by Principal Sir, Vice Principal Sir, Headmistress ma'am and teachers . The recipients stood tall, beaming with pride as they pledged to uphold the school’s values and be the torchbearers of progress. Thereafter, the newly formed Student Council did the Flag March in front of the entire school with their heads held high and spark in their eyes.
The ceremony concluded with the speech by Principal Sir where he congratulated the Student Council and expressed pride in the students who had been selected for various positions of authority. His motivational words were a sheer inspiration to the newly appointed leaders and the entire student body fostering in each of them, a spirit of determination and resilience.

To take a short glimpse on the same and to make the students aware about its Lucknow Public School organized a quiz –Quest Enigma on 10/08/23 to provide a platform to the students to explore a nation which is a land of spiritually and have a glorified history. Seven branches of LPS participated in the competition in preliminary round (phase -I), in which four were selected for the Phase –II round and the results were-Ahiyaraipur Raibareilly stood First, LPS –Sector I grab the second position, LPS Unnao stood Third and consolation to LPS Sector D. The Quiz completion was a great success and definitely it will have encouraged students to participate in more such competition in future.
The rhythmic pitter-patter of raindrops, the earthy aroma of wet soil and the joyous laughter of children filled the air as the students of Nursery and KG at Lucknow Public School, came together to celebrate Monsoon Day. This delightful event was organized to immerse our little ones in the beauty and significance of the monsoon season, fostering their connection with nature and spreading happiness all around.
The sight of tiny feet dancing gleefully in the rain was truly heartwarming, and the children's infectious laughter filled the air. Through engaging activities and hands-on experiences, they gained valuable insights into how to stay prepared and safe during monsoons. Beyond just having fun, the event served as a fantastic opportunity to enhance the children's vocabulary.
Badminton is a much-admired sport which requires strength, endurance, as well as mental capabilities leading to self-discipline and healthy lifestyle. To provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills & inculcate into them spirit of sportsmanship, Lucknow Public School organized an Inter-Branch Badminton Championship on 29th & 30th July at Shri C.P Singh Memorial Auditorium. The entire LPS family consisting of nine branches participated enthusiastically for the primary, junior & senior category. The match began with a lot of enthusiasm displayed not only by the players but also by the spectators. The result of tournament is as follows:
LPS, Sec I branch bagged winners title followed by LPS, South City & LPS, Sec D branch in the Junior Category for Boys. While on the other hand, LPS, Sec D branch emerged as a winner followed by LPS, Jankipuram and LPS, Sec I in the Junior Category for Girls. LPS, Raebareli won the match followed by LPS, South City & LPS, Sec D in the Senior Category for Boys. However, LPS, Raebareli retained the first position again for the Senior Category for Girls followed by LPS, Eldeco & LPS, Jankipuram respectively. The certificates were presented to all the winners & the tournament was quite a learning experience for all the participating teams. The fun-filled day was a true treat to the eyes of all Badminton fans present there.
Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch organised a 'Blue day' on 19th July, 2023 for their Nursery children and Kindergarteners to make them understand the importance of water as an indispensable resource for our survival and the beautiful aquatic life. The children were made to visit the Principal's office and see and observe the aquarium and amaze themselves with the marine life. The children were too excited to do hand painting on blue colored paper plates and recited poems on the blue theme highlighting the necessity to protect and conserve our precious oceanic life. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and was quite a learning experience for them.
'Van Mahotsav' is celebrated every year in our country to raise necessary consciousness, time and again, to realise the importance of trees and forests in our lives and an earnest need to protect our environment. It was a week long celebration which commenced from July 12, 2023 with an aim to inculcate personal and social accountability in our students for conserving our trees and forests. The week began with a 'Special Assembly' conducted by the students of different classes with speeches and group songs. Students of classes III, IV and V participated in 'Slogan Writing' and 'Calligraphy' to express themselves creatively on the theme 'Van hi Jeevan'. The students of Class VI participated in a 'Planter Decoration' competition for which they were made to bring earthen planters and decorate them in various hues. Students of class VII took part in a 'Calligraphy' competition, the theme for which was ‘Go Green’. The students used their calligraphy skills to write thought provoking slogans in beautiful styles. The students of class VIII designed posters on the theme ‘Go Green’. A day marked for 'Plant Sapling & Distribution Activity' went off in full swing with students participating in great numbers from pre- primary and primary wing with a number of medicinal, flowering and ornamental plants. Students vowed to nurture the planted saplings and conserve them in their best possible ways.
Lucknow Public School, Sec-D branch celebrated the INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY on June 21, 2023 with much fervour and enthusiasm with an aim to bring forth the innumerable benefits of Yoga. The program began with a welcome address and an introductory speech by the students of Class XII. They talked about Yoga as a healthy way of life and the indispensable need to adopt it in our daily routine for physical and mental well-being. The teachers and the students performed asanas and breathing exercises under the able guidance and supervision of trained instructors. The session started with Warm-up exercises with ‘SURYA NAMASKAR' being first in the sequence to multiple asanas and last but not the least, the breathing exercises and pranayams. The program was a success and concluded with ‘National Anthem’.
Fun With Shapes is a great way to teach shapes and colours to students. Different geometric forms like squares, triangles, rectangles and circles can be used in this activity to create pictures. Lucknow Public School, Sector D conducted this activity for the students of Nursery & K.G. who took part in it with great zeal and enthusiasm to showcase their proficiency in art. They made a beautiful scenery with shapes, depicting that mathematics is not just about formulae and logic, it can also be used to express the beauty of nature.
ABC Yoga is a fun way to get kids moving while learning letters. In this activity, each pose of yoga is associated with a different letter of the alphabet. It is not just a great mental and physical activity for the tiny tots, it also works upon their gross motor skills. ABC Yoga activity was conducted by LPS Sector D, for the students of Pre Primary Wing on the occasion of Yoga Day. It boosted the creativity and imagination of the kids while practising yoga in a wonderful way.
Founder's Day always holds a special place in the academic calender of any institution for it offers an opportunity to commemorate the valuable contributions of those who worked tirelessly for the continuous development of the institution. Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch came together to reflect on the achievements of the school and inspire others to continue doing the noble work initiated by Shri CP Singh Sir on the occasion of Founder's Day. The staff and students paid their earnest respect by offering a floral tribute to Sir as it is a beautiful and symbolic gesture of remembering him and seeking his blessings followed by singing performances by both teachers and students.
Lucknow Public School, Sector D branch celebrated the Labour Day on May 1, 2023 to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts and continuous services rendered by their helping staff to ensure the safety, hygiene and smooth functioning of the school throughout the year and other community helpers. A special 'Fancy dress' was organised on the occasion to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the support staff and community workers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to streamline everything. Our tiny tots in their costumes posed confidently and used their creativity to do role plays to honor the contribution of the sub-staff and other community helpers. Lucknow Public School celebrated the International Labour day with a sense of admiration and gratitude for all the workers and made the students realise the value of 'Dignity of labour' and the importance of labour community to the society as a whole.
Clay modelling activities are designed to nurture children’s creativity, boost their imagination and creativity and imbibe self confidence in them. In such activities, students make and decorate models from clay by pressing,squeezing and reshaping the clay into different shapes. This leads to an improvement in their motor skills. A clay modelling activity was conducted in the Primary Wing of Lucknow Public School, Sector D. Students of class I and II participated in this activity with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the activity thoroughly.
The tiny tot of Lucknow Public School Sector-D came together to celebrate the incredible procedure of yoga which was held on 24th April 2023. Yoga is a treasure of India's ancient tradition. It is a holistic approach to health and well being. As the students practice different asans it helped them to improve their concentration, attention and ability to self-regulate emotion. Gentle movements, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques contributes to the holistic growth and promotes wellness.

In an attempt to make learning more enjoyable for students Lucknow Public School Sector-D primary wing observed a 'no bag day' on 8 April, 2023. On this day, the emphasis was kept on allowing students to have stress-free time. The day began with a short assembly followed by various activities such as- Dance, Paper-folding activities, practicing yoga, to exploring the world of music etc. The activities held focused on developing listening , speaking and fine motor skills. The overjoyed students participated enthusiastically. Through this special day the school thought different activities which left a strong impression on their minds.
To adequately prepare the little ones to adapt and adjust in the school environment, LUCKNOW PUBLIC SCHOOL, SECTOR- D, LDA COLONY BRANCH, organised a 'READINESS PROGRAM' for more than a week that included a variety of fun filled and engaging activities to create a happy, playful and loving environment for the tiny tots. The Readiness Program started with a 'Welcome Session' on March 21, 2023 to warmly welcome our nursery kids & Kindergarteners and get them introduced to their teachers and peer group. The Readiness Program offered a plethora of activities for the children from story telling sessions to having a tour of the school campus to 'Sponge and Spray' painting to 'Sorting & Drawing' activities to stimulate their sensory experiences, to develop their motor skills and to scale up their cognitive development. Last three days were a roller coaster ride for the children with 'Aerobics & Yoga Sessions', 'Fruits & Vegetable Recognition' and painting and finally, 'Paper Tearing and Folding' activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and seemed all enthusiastic and prepared for their new beginning.
"Let food be thy medicine, thy medicine shall be thy food" Eating a healthy food is not about strict limitations. Rather, It's about feeling great, having more energy, improving your health and boosting your mood. To inculcate the habit of healthy eating, the little kids of Lucknow Public School Sector-D conducted an activity on 6 April 2023 named 'Feed Me Healthy'. Through various activities such as flash card depiction, sorting healthy and junk foods etc; they tried to convey the importance of healthy food.The students were encouraged to bring healthy foods in their lunch boxes. All the students enjoyed a lot and participated enthusiastically.
Writing competition was held on 1st April 2023. Students of classes I to V took part in the competition with the great enthusiasm and fevour Lucknow Public School organised the English Writing Competition to inculcate the habit of good handwriting among students.The aim of the competition was to encourage the students to write neatly and present the content in a proper manner. The assessment was done by the selected panel of teachers on the basis of writing style.
Clay modelling is an activity that helps in the development of students in several ways. Little tiny tots of class I and II participated in this clay modelling activity on 31st March 2023. Playing and modeling with clay helps the child to develop a sense of control. The students made beautiful colourful fruits using their imagination and creativity. It was an activity where they showcase their talent and creativity. The activity enjoyed by the students.
Water is most precious resource for us and to mark its importance our school celebrated on March 22, 2023. Special assembly was conducted by the primary students on the theme "Do not waste water". The assembly begin with a morning prayer followed by pledge and word of the day. The students presented a short skit to sentisise the students about the need to conserve water. At last, a beautiful dance performance was presented to aware that we should save water..
The Augmentation day activities which was held in Lucknow Public School Sec-D branch on March 25, 2023, focused on developing listening, speaking, fine skills and motor skills of the students. The students got an opportunity to showcase their talents. The students of classes VI to VIII were full of enthusiasm. They were made to perform different activities such as Origami, Paper Folding, Zumba Dance, Musical Chair and Yoga. The efforts of the students and the teachers brought positivity and happiness among the students.
Lucknow Public School, Sector-D branch began its new academic session (2023-24) on March 21, 2023. The whole school came together, for the first morning assembly of the year. The day started with a beautiful morning prayer to fill us all with a sense of positivity and a strong will to peace ourselves to keep doing better in the year ahead. The children of primary and junior wing in their colorful costumes left everyone enthralled with their wonderful performances. The words of appreciation and encouragement by Principal Sir further boosted the morale of students and the teachers. The Special Assembly concluded with the singing of the National Anthem in unison. It was indeed, a great start to exploring new possibilities in the new session and reaching new milestone.
An Orientation Programme was organised on March 19, 2023 to welcome all the new students and their parents for the academic session (2023-24). The parents were briefed about the rules and regulations of the school and the different ways the school aims at nurturing children with love and utmost care to build a strong foundation for their glorious future. Parents were also informed about the curriculum and the various co-scholastic activities that the children are made to participate in to bring about their holistic development. The Orientation Programme gave a glimpse of the school's philosophy and vision of empowering each child to strive for a better future.
A Felicitation Ceremony was conducted on March 18, 2023 at LPS, Sec-D branch to acknowledge and felicitate all the meritorious students from each standard for their consistent efforts and hard work. The Guest of Honour for the occasion was MISS JYOTI MISHRA, a Probationer trainee in the INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICES (IFS). With immense pride and pleasure, the Management and the Staff at Lucknow Public School welcomed her as she is an alumna of the school. She motivated and encouraged the students to put their best foot forward in all their endeavours. The outstanding students of all the classes from I - IX and XI were rewarded for their excellent performance in academics and co-scholastic activities The Felicitation Ceremony was a great success!

National Science Day is celebrated on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by famous physicist sir CV Raman. To mark the day young scientist from class VI to XI of Lucknow Public School Sector D branch (CP Singh foundation) had prepared science exhibition on 15th February '23. The students had presented various models based on water harvesting, volcanic eruptions, biological concepts, thermodynamics etc. The students beautiful elaborated and explained about the working models. The students who came to see the exhibition, enjoyed a lot and they had learnt a lot from these models. Everyone appreciated these young scientists.
Our Republic Day marks the day when our constitution come into effect. LPS sector D celebrated 26th January with patriotic fervor and zest. The whole school looked vibrant with the tricolor hues. The spirit of patriotism could be clearly seen in the students while paying tribute to our martyrs. The school choir song patriotic song. National flag was hoisted and the national anthem was sung by all to mark allegiance to the republic of India. Our honorable principal sir addressed the students making them aware of our cultural heritage and arousing a sense to pride in being a citizen of India.
Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing of laughter, for coming together with family and friends. Though Christmas is yet to arrive Lucknow public school sector D branch onsets the celebration with Christmas craft activity held on 3rd December 2022 where children of classes Nursery to V made we variety of crafts relating to the theme. There is no doubt, this was the apt fun activity be it handcrafted Santa Claus, reindeers, Christmas trees, bells, stars and many other enhanced the interest of children and exploited their artistic potential .
Art, craft and creativity is gateway to children's imagination. To prove this Lucknow Public School Sec-D branch organised an activity to decorate soft boards on 2 December 2022. All the soft boards were brilliantly decorated with Christmas theme prepared by the students of pre-primary wing along with their class teachers. The efforts made by the students and teachers were appreciated by everyone.
Constitution is the soul of our country. We are able to understand the meaning of independence only because of our constitution. In order to tell it's importance a special assembly had been conducted by junior wing students of LPS Sector D campus (CP Singh foundation). Students presented a beautiful skit showing the important rights given to us by our constitution. After that making of constitution, it's meaning and importance was explained by Social Science teachers Mr. Yazuvendra and Mr. Sandeep. Further it was taken by Principal Sir who had told the students not only to remember the rights given by constitution but also to perform our duties too mentioned in it. In this way only we could become a good citizen and human being. All the students were very enthusiastic about the day and everyone had taken an oath to take care of our constitution.

Maths is an important part of learning for children in the early years because it provides vital life skills. Keeping this in mind "Fun with maths" activity was held on 5th November 2022 for the students of Nursery and K.G. Children participated in various activities like ' Match the shapes ' , 'Skip counting ' , ' Number guessing' etc with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was really a very educating and fun filled activity for the little ones.
It was a day of an Activity ‘Fun with Shapes’ at LPS, Sec. D in Primary wing. These activities were organized to encourage participation and promote creative and aesthetic skills. A fun filled and joyful activity provided our little ones a platform to develop and showcase their latent talents. Each student participated in the activity enthusiastically. They made different types of shapes and objects. The objects made by them like dolls, castle, joker, engine, flower vase, caterpillar, and fish. Their beautiful participation was really appreciating. Class I children danced on song “Shapes shapes….we are pretty shapes”. They made a train of shapes with attractive engine. A quiz was conducted on the questions based on shapes. All students participated in the activity with great zeal. They have created an engine by different type of shapes. Class II played a game on shapes. Children participated with creatively, imaginatively, mathematically to problem solve, explore, discover and try new things, while fun and learning by shapes.
